One of the newest and most exciting new groups coming out of New York City, Brass-hoppers is a collaboration between renowned British Trombonist, Richard Harris and American Trumpet player, Tom Bergeron. Accompanied by a Pianist, the Trio's music portrays an eclectic blend of traditional classical music and jazz inspired arrangements of standards and popular tunes.
Richard and Tom first met whilst both performing with the world renowned Radio City Music Hall Orchestra in New York City. As their musical and personal friendship quickly developed they decided to bring their immense musical talent and unique showmanship to the concert halls of America.
Richard was educated at the Royal Academy of Music in London, England and Tom holds two music degrees from Yale University. In the pop music world Tom has appeared with the Temptations, Vampire Weekend and regularly appears on late night shows such Saturday Night Live. Richard has performed with Snoop Dogg, Puff Daddy and can be heard on the upcoming new album from Sting. As classical musicians Tom and Richard have appeared with many of the US top orchestra's and with such solo artists as Andrea Boccelli, Luciano Pavorotti and Rolando Villazon.
